ans after that the kids & i are baking some cookies.....dinner is at F&MIL's prezzies with S&BIL & nieces & nephew, will be exciting ! (not MIL's company tho, can do without her!)
M was up again early....yesterday at4:45 am ......yes, way before hubby goes to the barn !!!!!! And today at 6:15 ....a little later, but still, he is sooooooooooooo excited ! & he's the oldest ! 7 1/2 !!!!!! & still believes .....wonder how long that will last??? Also found Norad to track Santa, kids loved it & saw he was in Africa this morning......then crusing the world found an island named after my son.......Bikini, Marshall Islands......sounds cool ! Till daughter was upset...."Everything is named after Marshall, never Kara " oh such a funny girl ! But it is true !
Npt until recently had i ever seen alot of "kara" names......

i am almost.....did some more shopping last night, might have gone just a bit over board after spending last weekend stateside.....ummmm just a bit......honey let me get the mail....you don't want to see the bills .....LOL !
i can hardly wait to see the kids faces Monday morning !
Santa finds the barn, the reindeer & sleigh park in our field & chew some grass, while Santa fills the stockings.....hubby is in the barn about 6am & the kids & I are at about 9am.....i've made them promise to eat breaky fast so we can go get our stockings.....hopeing it will keep them occupied till noon or so whne we finish chores.....time will tell.

in a couple hours i am off for a weekend retreat of scrapbooking.....taking way too much stuff, but i want to blow through a couple of projects....fingers crossed

i do know for sure that i am needing to get away & not think about crap......all the BS that's going on in the SB world & boards right now too, i am not involved in the drama (thank god) but i have heard & seen tidbits......i must be getting old as i really have no time to poke my nose in places where it shouldn't be anyhow.....i have to much of my own sh*t to deal with .......ug....sad it happens & people get hurt...... i am a firm believer it what goes around comes around.....lies catch up to you ........hehehe there's my 2 bits.....;)

gonna make sure i didn't forget anything......pictures, paper, adhesive, clothes, sleeping bag......check check & check ! LOL ! looking forward to hanging with a couple close gal pals & doing some retail therapy shopping before heading into camp ......Maple Ridge, ready or not here we come

not so hot.......K was sick last week & missed 2 days of school.....i have it now......day 4 for me, and seems it's settling in my chest & turning into bronchitus (SP?) typical.....will see if time allows today to drop in at the clinic for a perscription, i have a CTMH show (12 people expected!) thank god hubby is not fishing today......i think he just finished 17 days in a row or something like that...to scared to look at the calendar & count....too freaking much, but he doesn't care what i think about it. I am hoping that with a nap this afternoon & lots of drugs i will make it thru the day.......who am i kidding, of course i will, i am super mom.......do'er of all things......LMAO ! i have my project ready & done & just have to finish packing so no biggie......the next thing to pack for is Saturday's Breast Cancer Crop.......i am having a CTMH table shhhhhh don't tell, and also doing a make & take .......there's supposed to be 50+ people, and a bunch of them are from POTP & some from the retreat earlier this year, so 1 big reunion ! We are gonna shut MR down !!!!! WOOHOO !!!!! Better tell hubby to not wait up for me at all ! LOL ! Just wish more of those ladies lived closer to me....it's about an hour drive (depends on road construction & traffic) to get to MR, would be nice for some company.
my brother & his life is making me way older before me time, i had a huge talk with him yesterday & WHOLY FRIGGIN CRAP !!!!!!!!!!! i had no idea it is as bad as it is.....once today is over, i hope it's bad today i really really really do, as he needs a big huge kick in the ass & get his friggin butt & brains together & stop thinking with his d**k & LEAVE !!!!!!!!! He asked me to go talk with his x-wife & let her know what's going on just incase something happens.....they have a good relationship as they have my nephew together & she has 2 others with her current hubby & he has 2 steps with his freaking screwed in the head royally f**ked c**t that he is with .....as you can tell i am not happy with my brothers current woman, they have been together for 3 years, she has 2 other kids from 2 other relationships.....yeah talk about blended.....well the first 2 years were fine, the last year OMG !!!!!!! It is amazing what drugs & alchol do to a person.....& my brother has tried his damnest to step up to the plate for HER kids .....well i am hoping that today will be the day that breaks the camels back.....if it goes the way i think it will then "Aunty Susie" (and NO ONE else gets to call me that except my nephew & his 1/2 brothers!!!) THE NAME IS SUZANN not susie not susan SUZANN .....just thin about the 2 famous ones, Suzann Sommers & Suzann Vega !!!!!!!!!! ) back to regular scheduled programs/venting.....Aunty S will be stepping up to the plate....Nephew will be spending way more time here with us, already got the AOK from hubby, well really there's no fight there as he totally agrees ! so i know it's a lack of details but i can't say more than i am/have already
well gotta run, kids are gone to school already, dishes are being washed rightnow, so just got to switch some laundry around & vacum & clean the bathroom, then it's time for my shower & hope to "play" sicker than i am as i want to stay in the warm house & not go to the barn, hubby can do it all today.....fingers crossed to make it work for me ;)

Holy crap batman.........today was a blast ........was at the hall bright & early, 7:45am......Heidi dropped off the keys to me as she was finishing running around town posting signs, had a bit of a panic moment, took me 15 mins to find the tables......just about s**t when they weren't where they usually are, they had done some reno's & have a new storage room that used to be "the smoking balcony" but it was all good......we had i think 12 people selling stuff??? It was awesome !!!!! The best deal i got was the Xron 500 BRAND NEW & BRAND NEW REFILL for $30 have it set up already in my room......awesome deals on little stuff, some fabric to make my Cricut dust cover too ! I sold a ton of stuff, over $200 .!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's my "mad" money for the next retreat ~! WOOHOO !!!!!!!! But i am exhausted ! Not just because of today, but dan has been gone everyday all week, i am tired of "holding down the fort" .....i want to quit !
And the kids are super tired too so the fighting has been at an all time high, Kara has a stuffy nose so i also think that doesn't help........BUT ........

MY SOCCER LOVING FIRST YEAR PLAYING % YEAR OLD DAUGHTER SCORED HER FIRST GOAL TODAY !!!!!!!!!!! I wasn't there :( but Poppa witnessed & said she did a great job ! I promised to bring my camera to practice & next game so i could get a couple of good shots of her ! So proud !!!!!!!

gotta run, a Crispy Creme is calling my name, totally forgot i pre-ordered 4 boxes for the kids fund raiser today, they were just dropped off (thanks Cheryl!!!!!!) will eat our meal in reverse today, desert first ! LOL !

where am i, who am i, what are my wishes & dreams, what are my wants & needs, what do i aspire to be & do, who, what, how, why am i thankful for .......this birthday of mine, 37......too close for comfort for me, is this what they call a mid - life crisis???? omg.....what to do......

just got in from chasing the chickens........yes i did say chasing......as in running after them........LOL .......the picture in yoiur mind is hilariuos......
We raise our own babies, and when they are old enough they need to be moved to a "lay" barn ......which is a different floor configuration, so the birds need to learn how to jump up a 8-9" step to go get food & water......eventually the nests are there as well but that is another few weeks away, so they were moved last night (while K & I went to her first hockey game "Go Bruins" ! .....sorry Roni!) my dad & M were out there doing the jobi usually do.....about 5 hours of unloading & making sure no coyotes get too hungry & no loose ones fly the coop......yup it has happened !
So this morning & for the next 4 - 6 morning Dan & I are out in that "new to those birds" barn & walk the lower area with a 8' long board between us chasing them up to the feed & water, done while the feed is running so they learn to associate the noise of the feed lines with breakfast hahaha ....just like baby humans ! Now remember there's about 8500 birds we are chasing.....a good 45 minute work out first thing in the morning......

there ya all go, had your leasson for the day.......now you all go out & have a great thanks giving turkey dinner.......make sure to cook a chicken next week when you are tired of the turkey left overs !

seriuosly now.....going through computer withdrawl......server problems, been on the phone with Shaw & ran some tests, something isn't working right, so tomorrow (well today, Thursday) i have to wait around for the phone call to say they are coming out to fix it.......not like i had anything else planned......a million loads of laundry to fold & put away (it is all clean, just needs to be dealt with) dishes, vacuming, barn chores, school, son's playdate, clean bathroom, change bed sheets.....you know the fun stuff we all want to do on our birthdays !

got a beautiful braclet from Cindy E tonight......i did pick it out last week, but had to wait for it.......I LOVE IT !!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU !!!!!!!!!!!

so.......only 5 sleeps .......and another year will be over.....couple gifties have been rec'd......Last night Michele came to scrap (and so did about 9 others!) (last barn crop of 2006) and poor girl was in a terrible rear ender (they were the victims) she had her 2 little guys (twins, about 22 months) and the van is totally squashed in ....the side door doesn't slide properly......ugg......she is in a bit of pain to say the least...well she shows up with a beautiful bouquet of flowers !!!!! OMG !!!!!
And my mom.......what a twit ! She gives me 2 beautiful rooster mugs & a scrap calendar......i say "mom it's not till Thursday" .....she's answers " well i got them at the dollar store so they don't really count" .......what a twit ! Love ya mom !
well 2 soccer games done & 1 set of pictures, still have a b-day party & 2nd set of pictures & get the kids off to M&D's for a sleep over.

it's thursdat, 1 week til my b-day....not feeling so good about this one, getting really close to 40.......YIKES ! wrinkles, gret hairs.......sore knees....yeah what's that about, arthritis already ????? i knew it would happen in 1 knee, as it's been operated on twice......must be the crappy weather changes

i'm in K's kindergarten class again today, 2nd time this week.......gotta get some tylenol for the headache or i won't make it with 21 little kids ......don't want to go, just want to crawl right back into bed.......

so i have been having withdrawal........no not from hubby being gone, get your mind outa the gutter...........from the computer, having server problems & it was 2 days i couldn't do anything, very frustrating, but appears ok this morning.

So, Marshall is gone for grade 2......very excited, he got the "good" teacher LOL ! not the same one as last year as there's a 1/2 split (awful teacher we just had) and a 2/3 split.......don't like splits, but what can you do in a small school with only 1 teacher, 1 class of each grade.....very happy for him. He did a good job with the 3 week reading program, not that he excelled & jumped levels, but that he grasped a few "cheat" ways to figure out ways to sound out words & also his self estemen (sp?) has been built back up again......he was sooooooo burnt out from grade 1 that we didn't do everything we should have over the summer, but a kids got to be a kid, and that's what summer is for.....only in the last 2 weeks has he had any interest in the work books, and reading, well he's last 10-15mins with me reading to him, but to do it himself, nope he was just done.....poor guy......i just want him to "get it" and it might not happen this year, most people that have had kids in similar situations asy it's grade 3 when the "lights go on" ........i'm am worried, but not KWIM ????? my husband struggled, and my brother struggled.......1 of my grandma's only made it to grade 3 & she did fine (still have some hand written letters & cards to treasure as she's been gone awhile now) you always understood her writing (tho spelling was funny, but you knew what she meant) the expectations are so high nowadays.......and if you ask Marshall what he want sto be when he grows up......a dump truck driver........good for him, he's said that for 3 or 4 years now, doesn't waver from it.......ask Kara, and just yesterday she said, mom i don't want to be a people doctor, i want to go to space.........well you go girl !
what ever happens as my kids grow, i just want them to try their best, if it's a D or an A, i don't care as lonf as they have tried their best & didn't give up.

it's 5 in the morning on Sunday.......crap.......i am friggin exhausted & i can't sleep, something woke me just after 3am, don't know if it was mooing cows, a dreaming child, a truck on the road......so wide awake, as Dan is away & i'm feeling kinda alone, kinda freaked, kinda scared.......can't sleep, so now i lay there thinking.....to do lists...electrcian coming today, what all do i have to move/change for him. Barn chores, normal day or will something happen that i have to take care of?? back to school, got all the supplies, backpacks, jackets, shoes, clothes (that's always on going as the buggers are growing so fast right now) thinking about Marshall & grade 2.....will it be an ok year, will this reading struggle finally "click", who/how is this teacher going to work with him? what about LA ? have i failed him as a parent & not done enough, but to the flip side, why does it land on my shoulders, i send him to school to learn right, isn't that where they are supposed to learn ? crap just too much crap
one thing that would help me, the humidity, it's really playing with me, i can't function in it.......i did NOTHING yesterday......well worked in the barn mam & pm, but nothing major......my brother stopped by with 2 of 3 kids & had a beer with me, while the kids played, now that's a guy dealing with shit.......a whole f**king dumptruck full of it......he is being used to the ends of the earth & he knows it, but yet he stays, until the next fight, then he bails out for a day or 2 ........i don't understand it, & i know he's keeping stuff from me, as some things just don't add up.......why do i have to worry about a 34 year old man & his almost 7 year old.....and his woman & her 2 kids.well he's had 2 strokes in the last 6 months.......yup, this is my little brother & he;s had 2 strokes.....he has a heart problem & is on med's & high blood pressure, all this due to stress, well if i lived with the freak he's with i'd be 6ft under.......i hope he finds his way,i can't tell him what to do, well actually i can he just won't listen & do it.
gonna go do some laundry & dishes & wash the floor & clean the bathroom, i'll have an afternoon nap......or maybe not, we need to over haul/clean the kids rooms & upstairs play room, so hope it's not hot......oh yeah & the electrician too, won't have to use the Cricut in the kitchen then !

very long day........but a good one !

Did lots of stuff in the house this morning before going to the barn, then took off for Vancouver......Ikea !!!! WOOHOO! Did some damage there, found the perfect solution for Kara's room & toys......and wasn't that badly priced ! Was expecting more, even with the basket things you need! And found 2 table lamps that match (or close enough for me) the floor lamps i bought there last year for the living room. A 3rd ribbon organiser container for my SB ribbon (they didn't have these last time) a wal magnet thing & some magnets for the SB room, basket & clothes pins for the trailer, a hanging shoe organiser ( a pair as i think they will be good in the kids closets) cutie alarm clock.....hmmmmm can't remember ...a couple more things??

The called the store on Hastings to see if they got the shipment of Cricut stuff in, they got 1/2 the order, the other 1/2 comes Tuesday....so i got 1 of the 3 cartridges i want & also replacement blades & the tool kit (very cute!) Super nice lady owns the shop, i can phone her on Tuesday & see if the others came in & she will mail them to me. Great price !

Then off to Sandra W's place.....the kids were hilarious.....on the drive in we were stuck in traffic & 2 ambulances passed us, so i phoned Sandra to say how we were stopped & she had forgotten anyhows & was going to the doctors for a very sore back.......well the kids figured the ambulances were coming to get her cause her back hurt.....then i explained & told them no. funny . Then they asked where she lived .....well the kids haven't figured out that not everybody lives on a farm & has many acres to play on.....(even though we have many family & friends that don't live of farms ) so they were asking what animals she has.......a dog....well what's his name......Murphy.....my daughter pipes up , but that's not right i have a teddy bear that delivers mail & his name is Murphy........OMG i am rolling my eyes......& shaking my head.......well hon, we do know several people with the same name.......ie. Meghan in Sask and your new cousin Megan.......oh ....but mom it's a dog.......yes hon......dogs have names too.......just like our dog Tilly.....would she like it if we just called her "dog" ........oh ok .....
So we get there eventually late in the afternoon .....all is good.......they play basketball for a few minutes in the back yard & Marshall later asks, mom how come the back yard has little & big fences & the yard is all like a mountain????? well that's there house & yard & the fence separates there place from the neighbours.........you can tell it's a deep thought now......mom is that kind like how our neighbour lives across the street & the road is there......yeah honey kinda........
the things they ask, the thought process & they answers you got to be quick on the ball to give........LOL !
Over all it was a long day . 2 stops when we got back to CHWK & were home about 6:45.....phew.......made them run around the house 10 times while i un-packed the truck. They were awesome shoppers & really well behaved in the truck, but i knew they had energy to burn ! LOL !........quick baths & supper & off to bed. i am exhausted.......just 9pm & i'm gonna call it a night!
will check out the new stuff tomorrow......i think the storage unit will wait for my dad to come back from holidays & get him to build it, i don't think i can lift it out of the truck by myself.....it was hilariuos to get it in......Marshall was in the back of the truck bed part trying to pull, i was on the ground......well there's no wheel locks on the carts & the cart was pulling out from under me & the heavy box, i was screaming for Kara to get back out of the truck & help stop it,when this nice lady parked next door offered to help.....well she almost was laying on the ground trying to stop the cart while we got it in the truck, too funny ! wheres the camera when you need it????

It's my birthday month, not gonna tell you which day......i will celebrate every day! And no i won't turn down gifts or happy wishes LOL !

So, hubby usually forgets until the kids rea;ize it's getting closer to the day & start bugging him what to get me......what do i want this year????? hmmmmm i have been spolit lately (but shhhhhh don't tell him i admit it!) a new computer a couple of months ago, and now a new printer/scanner/copier, and now a Cricut.....hmmmm......maybe i want the cupboards that he promised to build????? I am going to Ikea today & will be checking some stuff out & bring home info & will go with a plan that way....might be easier (and faster & less painful) to buy them rather than build.....will see for sure, but today we are checking out storage units thingies for the kids rooms......also hoping to stop by Sandra W.'s (phone my cell later if you are reading this!) and a place on Hasting that is supposed to get a shipment of Crocut stuff today ( 1 have 3 favorite cartriges picked out) and i still have to go to the barn ....hmmmmm i'm late already ! LOL! But the kids are dressed & fed, does that count?? usually they eat in the barn......yeah that sounds weird, but we have most of the comforts of home out there (ie. table, chairs, coffee maker, microwave) still wanting a small bar fridge, anyone have one they want to get rid of?????
ok, better run, there's fighting over who is brushing their teeth & using the toilet.......ahhhh the joys of a 1 bathroom house.

So, it's been a good week !

I got my Cricut & have played with it already & am very happy with it. I am not a computer guru, so i feel it was th ebest way to go for myself....tho i still wouldn't mind winning the POTP QK !!!!! LOL ! That would be too awesome !

And in a few minutes i will be getting a phone call to meet Sandra (HI Sandra~! ) and her family to pick up my long awaited (yes i have patience!) tote ! I ordered it way back when at a SB retreat in Manning park......i can hardly wait to get my stuff out of the plastic bag it's been in since then !
And my friend's hubby is an electrican & he will be coming out this weekend to "plug in more power" to my scrap room !!!!! Woo hoo ! ......the 1 plug is completely maxed & tripping over the extension cord isn't so good. Fingers crossed!
And ........i am going to Ikea !!!!!! Woohooo ! Either Friday or Saturday....that's up in the air as of yet !

And the kids won't stop goofing off & not listening......i am being a mean mom & giving them only 1 chance instead of the normal 3 ......the end of summer is hard, even harder to get back to routines of school & even harder yet, when Daddy is away too. I know breathe......deep breathe......let it out .........

honestly i have........to get on here several times, but it's been down........and when it's been up i haven't had the time....... so.........

listening to Bree Sharp, an artist new to me......love this "they say i'm cool & tell me i'm strong" .........seems kinda one of those deep songs.........

Hubby is gone ! Will be quiet, but a good kind for the next 2 weeks, lots to do & have already done a bunch of stuff.......phew.......got a friend's hubby coming over to see about some more electrical outlets put in this room, there's only 1 & on the opposite wall, sucks tripping over an extension cord......and because i am expanding my horizons & am learning to be a little more willing about this comouoter stuff, i have a few more things that need to be plugged in.

Got my Cricut today! From Rhea & her store in Alberta. It ends up, she's a relative !!!!!!! What a Freakin small world. I met her about 5 years ago at another relatives wedding........some skeletons came out of the closet.....amazing how many families have those. yeah won't go into that. But any how's she is my hubby's 2nd cousin....... Hi Rhea !!!!!!!

Working on this room of mine & purging & cleaning & trying to get some more boxes un-packed & out of the living room.......getting sick of the mess, but of course it's my room (scrap & office) so i am the one to do it......warned hubby before he left that he might come home to new cupboards on my wall as i now need the space......he hasn't gotten around to building them for me .....so che ching .......

Missing my friend Tessa, they are now moved & almost all un-packed in Dawson Creek......they have a phone hooked up & so we chatted & all the kids chatted last night.......my kids don't understand how far away they are now & kept saying, "but come over to play now" Sad.......we will miss all of them , but wish them well & know it's for their best & their future, Hi Tessa ! Miss ya HUGS !

SORRY !!!!!!!!!

well to get you all up to date,.........

Our trip to Oroville was fun, 17 kids in 6 families + everyone else in the camp ground.....i think it took me 3 days of being at home before i could function properly again. the ladies & a couple of the older girls did a morning shopping trip to Omak to the "super walmart" WOW ! we didn't give our selves too much time (only 1 hour) as we all wanted to get back to the lake & relax as it was going to be a beautiful day, so quickly shop walmart.....hahahahaha had a few things i HAD to get & then spent a whole bunch more on stuff that's "just so cute" for the kids & back to school. tried to find 3 scrap stores i had address for ...they all have closed ......sad. (but saved some $ then !)

M has done his first week of 3 for the SD reading program (like summer school) and seems to like it, will see this week as the bus driver (yes he's bused !!!!!!!) has arranged to pick him up (& drop off when done) just out side the campground we are going to (today) for a whole week. it will be a longer ride for him but it seems to be a great driver & good kids.

Hubby has started his "guided fishing trips" for the company he works for part time, today is his first for the fall.....he was nervous but excited....got the call last night at supper.....he wasn't suposed to start till thursday. so extra $ in the bank is good ! They do "catch & release sturgeon" fishing on the fraser river.......it's awesome !!!! They supply everything you need for equipment & he does most of the work (kinda funny he's like a "gopher" doing it all, when at home he's not like that at all !) LOL !
He also has a huge 2 week hunting trip planned he leaves towards the end of the month......basically from Aug 15th to Dec 15th i can't/ don't plan tooo much for myself, as i can't count on him being here for the kids.....frustrating, and babysitters can get expensive. My parents help out TONS which is great, but they will be away almost the same time as him this year.

I went out with a couple of fellow "pathchers" !!!! the other night. to Cactus club in Coquitlam...at least that's where i think i was.....LOL ! i am such a country bumpkin, it's hilariuos......well i drove to Mary's in MR & ended up driving as her hubby took the van & kids (really it was OK)
and she directed me to Sandra's to pick her up (totally different way than i have been there before) and off we went to meet Kate at CC .......it was FANTASTIC ! haven't laughed so hard in a while......they have the nicest bathrooms.......if you ever go check them out !!!!! (don't know about the men's !) Hope it's not long before we can do it again......love getting to know this group of women......all from completely different walks of life & all so "city" (but not in a bad way!) & i'm feeling kinda good about being the "country chickie" (pun intended) and made to feel so welcomed ! thanks ladies !!!!! by the way "don't hit a pig !" LOL ! (don't ask !

Yesterday (sat) hubby took our feed rep & his son & our son fishing all day, so it was girls time.......Kara & I took off to the CHWK Exhibition.......met up with my mom (nana) later in the day too. Had a great time....took a couple cute pictures......ate horribly (that super cool new ice cream that's the "coldest ever" & you will spill it from the bowl...really good stuff!) cotton candy (was never allowed it as a kid so i get my fix now as she just laughs & shakes her head at me !)
french fries...hot, home cut, deep fried, salt ....yummmmmm........checked out all the animals, i think Kara asked everyone walking a cow "can i pet your cow?" ....too funny kid ! Also we were taking a walk break as Kara was eating a freezie on the bleachers where the lumber jack show is held....watching these guys get ready for their next show.....so Kara of course, not being shy at all.....starts talking to the guy that's making one of those little chairs (about big enough for a potted plant to sit on) .....well he makes her promise to come back for the 4:00 show & she might get a chair......well every 5 mins while we wandered off.....,,."is it 4 yet??" so we went back, 1 row up so she could see over the fence.......and who gets "very politly asked" if i would so kindly help him chop wood.......yup....me !!!! By the "hunkiest lumber jack" wow, if i were single.!!!!!! LOL ! He was so sweet & poliet, & held my hand to help my down from the stands & kept holding it all the way back to the stage area.....then i got to use (with him) those long old fashioned 2 person, push pull type saws.......too cool !!!!! Yes my mom figured out how to turn on my camera & got a couple of shots off ! .......and i got a chair for Kara for participating.....they actually made a rocking chair. she was so proud ! i could have sat there for the next showing an hour later & enjoy ed the eye candy......hhhmmmm......yes i did tell dan & he laughed, and said no kidding, remember you do have lumber jacks in your family .......an aunt & uncle & cousins all owned & operated many logging trucks years ago, now only 1 uncle has 1 truck.

so ......this has been terribly long, sorry.....off to switch one more laod of laundry, have a shower, feed the kids, & load the trailer. Dan hooked it up for me already, fingers crossed i can get it parked & levelled ok.....not worried about the drive(towing it) or the set up of jacks & stuff......just getting it parked & levelled.......hope i have all the keys i need for the hitch stuff .....if not he'll have to come after fishing (about 9pm ) time will tell !

BUT it sucks that i have to work today too, BUT i have roped my parents into coming to the farm to help out.
i hope to do only 2 loads of laundry today & then i can pack everyone up. the food protion is done as we buy most what we need across the line as you don't want a nasty border patrol dude to take it all away (happened to friends of ours 3 years ago & they took about $300 worth of food & threw it in the garbage right in front of the owners)
so off to hit the showers & get to work.

p.s. side note to K........
i think you have made the right decision......actually i think you made the decision before you asked my opinion........LOL ! u just needed it said a different way from a "caring about your future" person who cares about you & your family !

been MIA ........so much happening & trying to survive the heat wave......i love getting a tan & swimming & vegging lake side, but when it's too hot to even breathe.......we don't have A/C in this old house......we will when we build in a few years.....so we have taken to sleeping in the trailer in the driveway or the worst nights, very comfortable......by morning u need a blanket on.
we are headed out in a few days for a 1 week vacation, meeting up with several families in Oroville WA, the kids will out # the adults by 3:1 will not do much but relax. we are taking both trucks as we need the boat & the trailer......it's about 4 hour drive, we split up the kids (peaceful) and we are also taking an extra for the drive, friends have bigger kids & it's too crowded in their pick up for a family of 4. we don't mind, which ever kid it is will help entertain ours ! LOL !
still have lots to do today....... a pedicure & waxing (not on the feet!) is planned, insurance to buy & oil change for the truck & groceries to get & meet a friend for ice cream later (teehee, she's got the day off work! & i won't have the kids for a few hours, they will be at nana's & poppa's) return a dress & do some banking & mail some goodies.......
busy day & i haven't sliced some time in there for the barn & packing......i am on top of the laundry so i don't feel pressure or panic about it (that's a first !)

i am melting already !
Just in from the barns & the misters are going on already, they started around 11am.......very un-usual, normally they start running about 2pm on a hot day.

well i am not working this afternoon, i have a few things happening & have to run some errands in Langley (NO KIDS!).......also supposed to go out for dinner & dancing & drinks.......a really close friend is moving to Dawson Creek in about 3 weeks, her hubby is going to be the new manager of the Kal Tire store, they have been there for 3 day 's house hunting (left the kids with a cousin here) they have found something, but hope to find out the details tonight at her farewell party. i will miss my dear friend. and it's a 12 hour drive, so it won't be easy to "visit" often. will have to get her on board with a web cam. !!!! And on one of the on-line communities i frequent. She's no a huge scrapper, just dabbles but has fun !

I do......i am a terrible "leave it to the last minute" person.......with everything.
i will in my defense say tho, that for the last ......hmmmmm 3 months it hasn't been all my fault. we have been uber busy with our farm, so much so that i wonder what i am doing. i did not grow up on a farm & it wasn't my dream to farm, my dream was the picturesque "picket fence & 1 dog, 1 cat, 1 horse, 1 rabbit" type dream. is this what i want to do??? i know my personal work schedule changes every few months, but i am so "done" with it right now. yes it would make it realy "tight" financailly if our hired hand would work 5 days a week, but in order to have a happy wife, mother.....wouldn't that be a good thing??

not much today.......didn't have to work in the barn, but i did have to do a ton of errands in town.

met a gf with her kids at BK for lunch, good visit ! missed her, hadn't seen her for about 3 weeks & they live in our back yard. (through our 40 acres, over the train tracks, throught the dairy farmers field into their property, though it is faster to drive!)

hubby finished the cement work for the "grounding" of the new swing set he built the kids, just has to "spike mount"it....whatever that means.....LOL ! men talk !

puttering really slowly on the scrap room, got 2 small lamps put up, and some paper bins away.
hope to find some trashy show on tv tonight & i can purge through a couple of tote bins.

funeral is on Thursday, not looking forward to it, will leave the kids home to work with hubby & i will go. not going to be easy.

my dad was over on the weekend to visit (with mom too!) and he got me motivated to hook up my "chat camera" he has one & is having major problems, so i am thinking the computer problems aren't just me, but i was born with it. the camera works & we can see & hear my aunt & they can see us, but not hear what we are saying, can't figure out where the 2 plugs go for the ear piece, and get this there's no instructions for that ......just for hooking up the camera.....and haven't heard back from logitech yet...yeah not so happy with their customer service. any pointers anyone??

just sit & stop & just be????

Today was a day like that.
my friend Mary came out with her kids for a farm tour (LOL at that, the kids were so excited to play i think we walked the farm in 30 mins !)
and stayed all day.....it was very relaxing, played, talked, laughed, chatted, lunch, ice cream, LSS (2 of them !) sprinklers, trampoline.....hey, i bet her daughter is dreaming of jumping right now ! and then her son is right beside her saying, but be careful, you might jump too high & get hurt. such sweet kids!
time to refect, laugh, enjoy.......thankful for so many things, but also aware many hard choices are to come. feel the pain & dreading the decision. wish i had a majic wand.
i have several friends right now that are facing or trying to decide to face, choices, none of these are easy choices, but ones that will keep coming back to haunt you until you decide.
i wish i were smarter and had the words that help. or the magic wand.

un-fortunaltly not looking forward to this week, there will be a funeral......of a healthy, strong,42 years young, father of a 6 yr & 3 yr old , husband to newly widowed woman who is so strong and has had to pull the plug on the love of her life.....i just have such a hard time......i just can't imagine ever having to do something & deal with it......if something were to happen to dan, how would i cope.......how would it all work.........how would it affect the kids.......and a whole life without him......such deep meaning to these questions, i hope i never know the answers. i also hope he never has to find out either.........

my shelves you silly girls !

Dan worked with me for over an hour getting the shelves up......completely different from the old ones. i now have 4 corner shelves all varying sizes, the bottom 2 have the computer screen & speakers & shaw thingie & the other thingie (sorry no up on the lingo) and the 1 above has my printer & then the 2 above are smaller for display stuff or "junk" as dan sooooo loving puts it (saracsm there!) he hates trying to put stuff in the walls of this house as it's over 85 years aold & all plaster, none of the studs seem to be the same distance apart ....frustrating.

bad news just got the phone call, 1 of our accountants died........encypelitus (swelling of the lining of the brain) it was caused by one of the herpes bacteria's, that causes cold sores.....he leaves behind 2 small children 3 & 5 and a loving devastated wife.......omg......they were so up beat the last few days as he survived the surgery. hitting me hard as he's only a few years older than i am & his kids are even younger than mine.

.......newly painted room.......looks great ! I am very happy with the results & last night a friend came over & helped me purge a bit, well actually we chatted lots too !
It will be a on going project for awhile until hubby figures out if he will build the "upper" cabinets for me or if it will be a purchase.....will wait, but not long as i now want this room done !
I got a bit of decorating done yesterday too, a few things up, more going up today.
It's made me purge a few other smallers areas in the house too.
The closet in this room was FULL, couldn't fit anything else in it......so that's DONE ! Feels so good ! It is a tiny closet, so now i can "use" it properly.
The kids helped this morning going through the kitchen closet, purging winter stuff & hanging jackets down stairs & also hung 2 more hooks for their back packs & purged some shoes......looks so much better now ! PHEW !
Heading upstairs to their rooms in a minute.....i'm going to steal Kara's small book case & use it in the scrap room.....don't think she'll miss it as she now has a desk, and her doll house is so big it takes over her room. if she wants it back i will buy a new one later & re-trade hers.
gotta run, hear WW3 on the start upstairs.
Going to Langley later (Princess auto for hubby & my dad) so Kara & i'll get dropped off at PM & walk to CS if we still have time.

and i am really happy with the color, it's not as blue as i remembered (and the swatches always look different) .......kind of a soft sky blue, with a hint of lilac.......kinda a soft lilac mist?????? and white trim.......the room looks sooooooo BIG now.
doing the happy dance in my room !

Now for the daunting task of re-organizing & finding new homes for my stuff. BUT i also get to decorate ! WOOHOO !

YEAH !!!!!!!!! WOOHOOOOOOO!!!!!!! Ok that's about the extent of my excess energy !

I got the trim (baseboards, window, moldings & doors) all painted & hubby re-hung both doors for me. Curtains are back up. and hubby has now gone to wal-mart to get me just 1 more paint tray liner.....didn't have enough. i hope to do all the edging tonight with a brush & then tomorrow the first coat on the walls. fingers crossed for 1 coat being good coverage (over primer) but we will see, as the room was so dark before) i am on my way to having a room again!!!!

getting some stuff done ! Man it feels good !

it is day 4 of my 4 day stretch of working & i am sick of seeing the eggs rolling out on the conveyor belt......
off tuesday & thursday & saturday & sunday.....looking forward to it !
tuesday, getting caught up on in town stuff & a couple of groceries, and hope to visit with Tessa (HI TESSA) and her boys, they will all be moving at the end of the month to Dawson Creek......12 hours from me......boohoo.....we have become close friends in the last year & i will miss her crazy French ways & laughter ! LOVE YOU !!!!!!!!
and on saturday i am hoping Mary & her kids will come out to see us & the farm (by the way one of our renters cows had twins yesterday so it would be really cool for your kids to see them too !)

have been working my butt off on my scrap/office.....
very tired of the project taking almost 4 months to do.....
figured i have to be 4 days in a row working so why not jam as much work into those 4 days as possible.
so everything else left in here was packed up & all the shelves taken down (that was interesting, my dad installed them 3 1/2 years ago & we used a "stud finder" as the house is 85 years old+ , well hubby un-screwed them & took then down & 1/2 of the screws weren't in anything......OMG ! I had sooooooo much stuff, and HEAVY stuff, i am surprized it didn' t come down a long time ago!!)
so we putty filled all the holes, and sanded & yesterday everything got a coat of primer......and in doing all that ended up with an extra kid to watch, which was ok as it kept my 2 kids busy !
so today after morning chores (which have been from 9 am till almost 1 pm) i am hoping to paint all the trim & 2 doors (both sides) white......and if that all goes good & maybe my parents show up again to help (they are wonderful !) get the first coat of paint (light sky blue) on.....the room used to be dark evergreen on the bottom 1/2 & a lighter shade (but same tone) on the top 1/2.....very dark for a small room, so now with a coat of white primer on everything the room is so BIG !!!!! and we aren't putting the "rail" molding back up.....hey anyone in the market for some "great shape" 3 " wide molding (it's white right now) not a huge room maybe 9x11 ???? give ya a good deal !
looking forward to getting all the decorating "crap" (that's what hubby calls it) out of the closet (and then i can clean out said closet) and up & done & then creat plans for hubby to build the "upper" cabinets.....which he may change his mind & we'll make a trip to Ikea.....
he is going to build the kids a huge new swing set, kinda like what the school yards have.....3 swings & slide ( i got a deal at a garage sale on the slide) they have out grown the "kiddy" set we got from the neighbours. they are still begging for the "play house" on stilts about the sandbox daddy promised 3 years ago when we built the sand box. one day.
oh and the tire swing in the walnut trees in the field....hmmmmm one day.

My girlfriend is out from Saskatchewan for a day or 2, to pack up her brother & his wife & baby, and help them move to Sask. to be there next door neighbours !
HI MEGAN !!!!
She is coming over for a visit in the morning while we are picking eggs (shhhh we are going to put her to work too ! LOL) I miss her tons......they have been gone for 1 1/2 years & we have seen them 4 or 5 times ......she was my bestest friend......keeping that up long distance is just so hard. we were so used to just "dropping by" on a wyem (sp?) and venting about our trials & tribualtions of the days events......i miss her & her kids & her hubby. Her hubby & mine have been friends since 1st or 2nd grade & he also stood up at our wedding for us & my hubby him ! 2 of their 3 kids are the same ages as our 2 (we just knew to stop at 2 & not keep going LOL) !
feeling better now too, as our accountant survived his surgery. that is good news.......still a very grim situation tho

having A bad day

Again......didn't sleep good, cause my back has a bit of a sunburn (not bad really, just enough to irritate) and my back hurts as it was the last day of school for my son & we were at the water slides all day & then home for 5 mins & then out on the boat for the rest of the afternoon & night.

Everyone woke in the house from the wrong side of the bed......should have been a sign to just crawl right back in & skip a day.....yeah right if only !

so, get some paniced information, my brother has taken off & left his woman & her 2 kids & his own kid & didn't show up for work & hasn't been heard from......well that panic is over, he's fine, he is going through alot of s**t & needed to get away so went on a mountain hike to clear his head......but my day isn't over,
went to our accountants office.....one of our accounts (early 40's very strong healthy man, 2 young kids & wife) he is on death's door, just hauled in for emergency surgery, he has "encphilitus" (sorry sp?) swelling of the lining of the brain.......he is in a drug enduced coma.....they don't know yet what has caused it & are running many tests & pumping many drugs into him to fight the battle.......it does not look good,
a miracle is needed,
please for those of you that pray say a prayer,
for those of you that don't just think of him & his young family. thank you .....

it's still early in the afternoon, so wondering what else is going to hit us.
hope your day/ week / weekend is going better.......i need some good news right now.

that i am crying........my son now 7 just read a whole book to me at bedtime......it is incredible!!! I am sooooooooo happy !!!!!!
to bring you up to speed, he struggles with reading, and has 3 times a week learning assistance in group of up to 6 kids in grade 1 .......we have HUGE teacher issues with his current grade 1 teacher, and of course didn't know any better until May when the school year is almost over HELLO !!!! If you think my kid has a problem please SPEAK UP !!!!!! He is "meeting grade 1 standards" is what his reports all say, but when she finally spoke up in May (only because i dropped in during lunch time one day) did we find out how "bad" she believes he is doing & we should think about holding him back.........WHAT THE F**K !!!! (sorry) so .....2 weeks after that a meeting with the principle & learning assistant & her......he is not being held back & we have HUGE issues if he his in the 1/2 split next year as it will be the same teacher.....
so the last 2 weeks, my son has not been into doing any homework, the barest minimums to get him through the day, so i haven't been pushing at all, but allowing him to "read" in bed at night 1 book before going to sleep, so tonight (after beavers & getting home later than normal even) he sat in bed & read me "Green eggs & ham" ......we've had it for a long time, but he has never been interested in reading the Dr.Suess books as they were "too girly sing songy" for him........
He knew i was proud when he saw me sliently crying while he was reading 1 of the "full" pages of words....any time previous he would look at the amount of words & "balk" at even trying.......WOW !!!! I am sooooo proud !!!!

ok, don't get too excited, they aren't from scratch, they are the pre-formed freezer pop into the oven kind.....but i baked them ! White chocolate macadamia nut cookies ! And Friday i baked 2 apple pies......again ......freezer to oven (i support a friends church fund raiser, once a year & order 2 dozen pies frozen ready to go)
LOL ! BUT .......i am celebrating..........WE HAVE A NEW HIRED HAND & I THINK SHE'S GONNA WORK OUT GREAT !!!!!!!
so, that means in another 2 weeks or 3 my life will slowly go back to normal (hahahah what's normal?)
we even booked a holiday to Oriville (Osoyoos lake USA side) My parents will be on stand by for the extra help she may not need much of, but they will be around.
and tonight is my son's last game of the spring 7 a side soccer season.
the next 2 weeks are filled with wind up's & last ones of everything & my daughter graduates from Pre-school Friday......yes my baby will be in kindergarten come Sept. wow ! Never ever thought i would be the type of mom to say "boy i can hardly wait till they are all in school full time" but yuppers, that's me, i say it at least twice a week......maybe it's just sinking in the reality. 1 more year..........1 more year.........1 more year...........and then i find out a good friend is 6 weeks preg with her 4th......OMG ! wish her well !
and i am only a couple weeks away from becoming an auntie again......my hubby's sister is having her 3rd....and it's a girl......don't know what her name will be yet.
dinner's on the stove tonight too, dan will be happy......i haven't cooked a "real" dinner ..like meat & potatoes for over a week now......cough, cough, sputter......yeah you read that right.
LOL
oh, and i have only 1 more load of laundry to wash (after not doing any for a week) and only about 4 left to fold & put away.....usually i do a load a day, or at least a load every other day......but not the last 2 weeks.....picking eggs has been our life priority ......yes, it is our 'bread & butter' ........but ......it's not something i want to do for 5 hours every day.....i haven't scrapped anything since the last retreat about a month ago......i did make a bunch of "guy" cards at the breast cancer crop, but that's it. miss it !
so something a bit different.....i read alot of blogs (but sorry ladies i do lurk & don't comment alot) and i have no idea how to "create the links properly" to get them listed on here yet (read as insanly stupid about computer lingo) what's a desk top? kidding ! any hows.....there's been tons of giveaways happening on some of them so.......the 7th (because that's the age of my oldest kid) person to comment here will receive a CTMH RAK from me.......

hectic, chaotic, craziness........yuppers, that's our life ! LOL !

from one thing to the next......awake at 5am thanks to hubby......ds up at 5:30........they were gone at about 7:10 for the fishing derby & sounds like they had fun, ds7 caught 2 fish, but they didn't weight them in so no prizes for him. took lots of people out on the boat & ds was telling me about 1 dad who was hooting & hollaring "yeehaw" everytime the boat hit a wave, he said he was "acting silly" .......well hon, not everybody is as lucky as us to have a boat, so maybe he was having fun doing something he's never done before.......you could just see the wheels turning in his head.....i am sure the conversation will contiune at bedtime tonight.

we are very blessed & lucky for what we have & worked our butts off for. none of it was "given to us on a silver spoon" .......many people hear what we do & relize how young we are & what we have & question it.......well if they only knew .....the crap & hardships that have been dealt with (and contiune to do so, but on a much lessor scale now) ......my hubby has worked his whole life on a farm & earned every single grey hair & wrinkle & injury .......honestly.....and when i came into the picture it just got harder......we lived in a house that should have been condemed........mouse ridden........rotten.......wind blows through the windows & i had to hang blankets to keep some heat in.....we were only supposed to live there for MAX 2 years.......well 7 years & 2 babies.......i won't go into it, cause now i have a smile on my face (most days) and know that sometime in the next 10 years (hopefully much less) we will be building our dream house.

call it a small "epiphany moment" today at the b-day party i took dd too......flash backs to my child hood & growing up......the little girls mom ......i remember when she was born & her mom brought her & her twin brother home from the hospital.......yes, figure that out........a girl i grew up knowing (yes i am a few years older than her) has a little girl that is friends with my daughter......this world is round .......amazing how "flashbacks" come back......remember........wow.......things have changed........and then they see my dd ......and they say"wow, spitting image of you at that age" .........they are sooooooo right......she is my mirror at that age, as i was my mother's mirror & she was my grandmother's mirror.......amazing.......compare photos, and it's scary true.

hey, 2 in 1 day......promise this will be short.

Dan & I had a "date" LOL ;) we have had a "keg" gift certifcate in my purse for about 8 months now, a decent one even.......went to use it about 2 months ago but it was a 2 hour wait.....so we decided to go on a week night instead of a weekend.....now the nearest Keg to us from our house to it's doors really is only about a 30 minute drive, probably less with the way Dan drives.....crazy farmer driver,( hey look over there the've got grass down & it's gonna rain) as he swerves to miss the telephone pole (yes he did, really !!!!!) & yes the life insurance is up to date!
so spur of the moment in between the phone calls about our ad in the paper for a job & arranging interviews, he says "phone for a sitter & we'll go out" ......oh man....thank good ness the next door neighbours have 2 that are old enough, so usually 1 is available.......so off we go.

you know how boring it is to go for dinner with a man you've worked the whole day with & had 3 interviews with & did a bunch of his dirty laundry. ????? we got all the nessacary talking done on the drive there......i know it sounds bad but we were/are so tired......we ordered & ate & drank & came right home ( the long way home as i told the sitter, we'd be a bit later than we were) you ever feel like your in that "funk" place of boring with your spouse??? yeah we have spice, but too much chaos takes anything extra out of you.......so home by 9:30 & he's in bed sound asleep & i'm here.....exhausted but ate too much to sleep yet. hey maybe i'll go out to the old dairy barn & see if the owl is hanging around......hoping there's a nest in the hay mow.

Oh, it's been a few days, and how chaotic those days have been.....friday both kids school & sports day & hubby's back & working & our hired guy told us he's quitting, and breast cancer crop on saturday & working sunday & checked out some garage sale stuff at a friends & picked up a desk for dd & painted it, and 2nd coat of primer on 2 doors for my scraproom & continued painting the house & it's now year end for the farm & i am so far behind....& the house work & laundry is so far behind........ahhhhhhhh......if only i were 10 years yuonger & had more energy to do it all.......
wave your magic wand & wish for bursts of energy that last for more than 15 mins ! LOL ! i need a few extra days in the week, not just a few extra hours.
so with our hired hand giving notice, it really throws a monkey wrench into our life, and our summer vacation. more like "what vacation" .......time will tell

ok, so, last night without hubby.......went by without a problem, not much sleep & am having problems getting a jumpstart now....gonna have a blast of caffeine shot in my blood stream in a few minutes

i didn't post about wed night's sleep ........errr.......lack there of......i have a hard time going to an empty bed when he is away & always the first night is the worst, so i climbed into bed at 11:30 .......probably fell asleep an hour later & at 1:15 am.....realized i could see flashing lights.....and hear mens voices......then i sat right up in bed & realized i was NOT dreaming........i really could see flashing lights & hear voices.....so i jumped out of bed, heart pounding through my chest & whip open the blinds, yup.....there's a guy & a pick up truck blocking the road, he has a huge sign on top of the truck (with flashing lights) "WIDE LOAD" ......and then he uses a large spot light to stop a car from going around him as he parked to block both lanes of traffic.......i can hear the conversation......"nope it's ok, don't be scared, we have a house moving down the road & you will have to pull a U turn & go around the block" .......what they are moving another house !!!!!!!! we have lived here just over 3 years now, and this is the 3rd (yes 3) house they have moved.....and of course they need Hydro's help with low wires. i must say this was the fastest one moved past our place, because the first one they had to move the lines. of course it took me another 2 hours to fall asleep, typical !

oh, and what is it about friends who only are friends when they want something.......pondering this friendship i have with someone lately, i'll call her A for now. we have been very close for about 5 years.....i mean very close, talk every day on the phone, go to each others places at least once a week....well things changed we we moved to the same town 3 years ago, and it became more & more 1 sided, me always going to her place, sure she came here sometimes, but not like it used to be. well lately, she has made some new friends.......people i would never choose to be close with .....i am not "flakey" or "fake" if any of you have met me you know that. i am too old to "put on a face & be fake about stuff" i can't stand it & people that are like that drive me nuts. so these are the types she is with now, when it's just her & i together, she's not like that, but throw one of the new fakes in & she totally changes, right in front of me. freaky. its been hard but i have been pulling back and not calling & stuff, hard but i need to know if she is truly a friend......we went 2 weeks with nothing. then she phoned.......then another week, nothing, so i dropped a quickie email.....& that's the way it's been, quickie 1 sentence emails.
why is it as we get older we figure out what is so important & whats not????? why is it that we need a couple of "incredibly close friends" and have so many aquantinces??? is this how the world goes round?? any body have answers for that ???????

oh, what a long, busy day.

hubby won't be home till late tomorrow night from his fishing trip, his cell is already dead so the kids didn't get to say good night, good thing they were too tired to fuss about it.

well the egg producton is picking up.....if i didn't go out & help the hired guy for 3 hours this morning, he'd still be out there. he's reliable & trustworthy, but very slow, and we can't afford to pay him for 8-10 hour shifts when normally it's 2-3 hour shifts.

i took down the entry door & the closet door from my scrap/office today & got them sanded sown & first coat of primer on. 1 door came down super easy.......the 2nd one i had to smack the sh*t out of the door pin, fingers crossed it's not too badly bent ....i can probably just switch them around when it's time for them to be re-hung.

also working on door prizes & make & take project for this Saturday's Breast Cancer crop.....a friend & her mom in Maple Ridage are hosting this event, the 3rd one for them, but the first for me to be at IRL !!!! WOOHOO!!! Looking forward to seeing abunch of the POTP gals & meeting some new ladies ! And maybe a shopping trip to PE while there too ! LOL !

gonna call it a night, never sleep good when hubby is gone, always on high alert for an alarm or the dog ......

sometimes they suck !!!!!!!!

Rough night, went to bed early after taking some pain med's for my back & neck, it's more my neck & shoulder now....turning one way is really sore & tipping my head back (like to shampoo my hair) hurts like a ^%&*^%&* !!!!!!!!!!!!! Hubby had a friend over, they were chatting hunting trip stuff, so he came to bed late & of course he's not quiet when he lets the dog in, then because dh is going fishing for 3 days he had to get up at 4:00 am to check the feed lines in the barn hoping nothing will go wrong when he's gone, then ds is awake at 5:30 am ......he's ready for the day, so i sent him to the couch, he wouldn't go back to sleep so he sat/laid there till 6:45 looking at my older scrap albums. I am such a friggin' light sleeper it's driving me over the deep end. i won't wear ear plugs at home because sure enough that's the night "something happens" like a drunk driver going off the road into our mailbox or hedges or a kid is sick in the night or some teens from down the street at tormenting all the dogs & they are all barking. uggggg......wish i could fall asleep like a dead log in less than 2 mins like hubby does.

and now heading into my working 4 days + week in the barns, not just the up-keep on supplies & paper work etc......(the lasy while it's been when hubby
phones me, which is irregular & un-expected, which can be a pain in the a$$).......as of friday we will have all 3 barns full of birds........head count would be around 25,000 birds........it will be that way for about 6 weeks, and slow down a bit after that to 2 barns full and then about 3 weeks after that i will be "on call" again. I can hardly wait for the day we can afford a full time employee that will be responsible & trustworthy & hard working & flexible.........hmmmmm........anybody know anybody ?????

so, ds has soccer tonight, he's not going.....up at 5:30 ......went to bed at 7:30 ......i will get him off the bus in about 15 mins & we will see what kind of mood he's in......i don't want a week of hell from him, soccer games starts at 7pm which is his normal bedtime....not liking the spring 7 a side because of all the changes this year. we put both kids in for Sept which is back to games on Saturdays.

nephew's 5th b-day yesterday......HAPPY BIRTHDAY Kyle !!!!! Can hardly believe it's kindergarden in sept for him ! And he's going to be a big brother again later this month. !!!!!

well i treated the kids yesterday on our morning garage sale adventures. a local owner of a HUGE monster truck was taking people for rides at $5 per person......so my son is a HUGE monster truck fan (Santa was really good for him this past Xmas with a " Big Foot" remote controlled one) He has collected a couple of 80's movies that he will watch over & over.......so i drove past twice to check it out a little and both kids were ohhh & awwwing all over the place......so we had a ride......!!!!!!!! EXCITING !!!!! OMG ! The truck was soooooo tall ! My daugter & I were having a blast with our arms waving in the air & screaming & my son is sitting there with his feet under him & hanging on for dear life to the seat......i was shocked.......they both had fun & wanted to go again, but that would have blown the budget. so we watched for a bit. From bouncing around & being battered up & down & around my back is VERY sore to day (2 bad car accidents, 1st at 16 & 2nd at 26) they come back to haunt me.

Today is Sunday.......my nephews 5th birthday party. it's supposed to be at Dinotown ( a kid adventure land) but the weather is not sure if it's going to co-operate....so we may end up else where.....hope to find out in the next hour.

i never did get around to folding my huge pile of laundry, although i got 2 more loads washed & dried & added to the pile.....i am sooooo bad ! LOL !

i did get 2 & 3/4 of our 20 odd windows of the house FINISHED painted.....hubby tied him self with rope & ancored it to the loader, so he was on the roof, jumping from peak to peak & did an awesome job finishing scrapping & priming. Won't be long and he'll be using the blue paint ! Just need another nicer day & the time ........but he's going fishing with a group of "guides" next week for a couple of days, so i don't see it happening any time soon.

gotta run, kids are arguing, guess it means the start of my day as a ref.

What to do, what to do, what to do ??????

We all love Saturday's in our house.....hubby only has a few chores that he can be done by 8am & our hired hand works today so it can be a "family do what we want day" !!!! WOOHOO !!!!!
BUT.....i hosted a "barn crop" last night, climbed into bed at 2:30 am there were 10 of us, we had a blast, i totally had everything of my own out to work on as well.....but not a picture even came out of my photo box.......everyone else cropped, i gabbed & helped ......oh well, nights like that don't happen too often, i guess i had a great bunch of ladies/friends & we were all comfortable with each other......it was weird that my mom wasn't there, her & dad are camping for 10 days. Miss them !

So, the kids are dressed, i'm not. Hubby's gone out for breakfast (a regular thing 2 or 3 days a week to gossip with all the farmer friends) I am on here (loving an outlet by the way!) and ds is un-loading the dishwasher & dd is running around with the "shark" (vacum) I have changed around a load of laundry, and we have taken the pile of clean & put it on the love seat to be folded & put away (i have such a hard time doing those 2 things) to be honest, i think the pile is 4 feet long & 4 feet high....about 14 loads....hmmmmm good thing no one in this house wants un-wrinkled clothes. LOL ! It's all wash & wear here !

After we eat breakfast & i'm ready to face the general public, looks like there's a garage sale at the neighbours......gotta check that out. The kids & I love garage sales, i grew up in a house that had them fairly regular. And the kids want to ride the quad & play with the bunnies later. I bought 2 kitten leashes with harness's hoping they fit ok so the rabbits can be in the yard without having to be in a cage. and also hoping the rain doesn't hang around too much. If it stays ok weather wise, then hubby will continue working on painting the house......just the trim, the rest is vinyl siding. It should have been done 3+ years ago when we bought the place & moved here. It's an old farm house.......don't get too excited it's not one of those cool huge built ones with the wrap around porch & stuff.....we have been told it's about 85 years old & has had 1 add on (a split level laundry room, freezer & 2nd fridge space...way nicer than having a washer & dryer in the kitchen like at our last place ! OMG ! that was odd !) The roof & heating system & parts of the electrical & 1/2 of the windows were already up-dated before we came here. When we moved tho we had to build our poultry barns. This place is almost 40 acres & it's an old dairy farm. so we haven't torn down any old buildings or barns yet, we have found a renter (awesome one !) to rent the cow barns & about 2 acres for grazing, he has beef cows. and another renter who takes about 27 acres for trees. so no field work for us......hubby doesn't miss it any more (being x- dairy & we had 160 acres with his parents & uncle & aunt)

Also an on-line friend got motivated & painted her kitchen in 1 day (yeah Michele !) all i have to do is pack up the stuff on all the shelves ( i even have boxes for the stuff) and take down the shelves & rest of pictures & fill the holes in with putty, then i can prime & paint my scrap room. Wish i had her motivation & energy ! Maybe this afternoon. Maybe hubby's going fishing & will take 1 kid, might motivate me a bit. LOL !

gotta run, break up an argument about where the dirty dishes should be placed in the dish washer.....wish they would do those chores every day !

Start off the day on a bad foot, and too early to boot. some times i tell ya.......it's not even 7am & already i've had to talk with & discipline my ds7, YIKES ! Does that mean i've jinxed the day?? Hope not as dd5 has a friend coming home from pre-school with us to play for a few hours.

if today is another rainy yucky day i am hoping to get some more packing in my scrap/office/everything room.......it's been destroyed/work in proress for more than 2 months now.....if only there were more hours in a day that i had the energy of a 18 year old, WOW then things would be happening ! LOL !

i also want to get the computer & printer & photo selphy all set up exactly the way i want, and get a scanner.....my old scanner was a hand-me-down & didn;t work on my old relic of a computer any way's, but for some reason i just left it hooked up & waste the space.......but no longer ! i have a vision for this room & it's only 1/4 finished (hubby built the bottom section of the "L" work space,) looks good & will be very functional !

Well, should be off here now, have 2 kids to get breakfast for & off to school.....oh yeah & me too ! LOL ! (but not the school part !)

i do hope for a good day at least mood wise, i have no control over the weather so whatever mother nature sends us is good.

Well, this is a new venture for me.....not as computer literate as many of you, but i figured i read so many of your blogs (stalker for a few !LOL!) why not do the same & see if anyone likes mine?

It will be a slow work in progress, but with a bit of time & hair pulling i will figure it out.

So you been scrapping lately? I have.....30 pages (LO's) done WITH JOURNALLING (that's for Sandra B.) at a retreat last weekend....and tomorrow night i am hosting a crop in my barn.....yes i did say barn, not kidding on that one.......and no gum boots are optional !!! LOL !
